EQUIPMENT NEEDED

 

  •  Swim costume

  •  Well fitting goggles and swim cap. (Stretch fabric caps are most comfortable for children)

  •  All students who are not potty trained must wear a swim nappy under their normal swim wear. The swim  wear or  Happy Nappy, must fit firmly around thighs and waist to prevent spillage. Happy Nappies may be  bought online.

 

CHARGE FOR POLLUTING THE WATER

There will be a charge of  £100.00 administered if a student pollutes the water with feces or vomit causing the pool to be closed.To ensure this does not happen please make sure that...

1. Children use the toilet before swimming 2. Children who are NOT potty trained MUST wear a swim nappy UNDER a firm pantie 3. Students do not eat or drink for at least one hour before their lesson. 

SWIMMING HOMEWORK FOR BEST RESULTS


Best results are achieved if parents prepare their children in their daily bath and shower to play and splash, have showers and wash their faces.

Children will progress fast once they are happy to put their face in the water.


 

 

 

HEALTH AND SAFETY

 

SWIMMERS MUST REFRAIN FROM FOOD AND DRINK FOR AT LEAST 1 HOUR BEFORE their lesson. ( completely avoid milk products, fizzy and citrus drinks) All students must use the toilet before swimming.Parents & carers of students under 8 yrs must remain on poolside during lesson time.The teacher will draw your attention whenever a young swimmer needs the toilet during lesson time.For Safety no student should enter the pool before or after their lesson unless under the supervision of the teacher.


OUTDOOR FOOTWEAR MUST BE REMOVED before entering the changing rooms and pool side. Please bring Flip flops to wear on poolside. 

NO JEWELLRY MUST BE WORN BY SWIMMERS UNLESS RELIGIOUS. Watches are NOT permitted, unless they are used to track fitness and are made of rubber with no sharp edges. 

NO FOOD AND DRINK IN THE CHANGING ROOMS OR POOL SIDE.

NO RUNNING ON POOLSIDE.

NO PHOTOGRAPHY AND VIDEOING ALLOWED.

CHANGING ROOM POLICY 

Children of the opposite sex, age 8 and over, must changing the correct changing room for their gender. Parents should NEVER  be in their opposite sex changing room. A child under the age of 8 should change in the changing room of their parents gender 


WHICH TEACHER?


Students will be allocated to a class according to their swimming level and approximate age


Teachers are allocated to teach each class provided. Students cannot choose who teaches them. 

If a teacher is absent, we will provide a cover teacher. 

For One to One classes with a teacher of your choice there will be an additional charge of £30.00. 

For Two to One classes with a teacher of your choice there will be an additional charge of £20/person. 

 

PAYMENTS 

 

BEST BY BANK TRANSFER - Reference number must be included

CASH: Sealed in an envelope. The name of the student, Reference and lesson day and time must be clearly written on the envelope.Cash prepared in the above manner may be safely put through the letter box at 2 Princes Avenue.

CHEQUES:  with the name of the student and reference number clearly written on the back

 

NO CASH OR CHEQUES AT THE POOL

 

STOPPED CHEQUES Will incur an administration charge of £10.00.  

 

DISCOUNTS

NO REFUNDS, NO TRANSFERS. NO CREDITS for lessons missed by students. 

There is a 5% sibling discount for two or more in the same immediate family.

 

POOL CLOSURES

 

Lessons missed due to pool closures may be made up during the school term according to the venue. (Colindale primary school)  If there is no make up lesson a credit will be given for that lesson on the following terms invoice. ONLY If you DO NOT not re-book for the next term, then a refund will be made. 


CANCELATIONS 

DUE TO SERIOUS ILLNESS. If a student wishes to cancel lessons mid term due to prolonged serious illness a doctors certificate will be required. The cancellation fee will equal two lessons fees from the date we are informed in writing. We unfortunately can not guarantee the place will be available in the future.


OTHER CANCELATIONS

For cancellations requested in writing (email acceptable) 14 days or more in advance of the start date of the course a refund will be made directly to bank details supplied.

If a cancellation is requested less than 14 days in advance and up to 3 days after the first lesson of the course a refund will be made directly to bank details supplied. An administrative fee equivalent to 2 lessons of the course fee will be deducted. 

No refunds for cancellations requested after 3 days from the first lesson.  Unless due to a serious illness, please see above.
